Vermentino does not only come from Sardinia, a variety which in Maremma is found in a very present nature, which influences the wine thanks to the influences of the sea associated with soils rich in sandstone. For this reason, in the mouth, in addition to notes of yellow fruit (grapefruit and peach), there is evidence of iodine and aromatic herbs. Try it with a sauté of clams and lots of toasted bread.

Castello di Ama has been producing rosé wine since 1982 and Purple Rose was born in 2017 with a new methodology vinifying part of the must in barriques. It is obtained from the best Sangiovese vats by means of a bloodletting (saignee) carried out after approximately 12 hours of contact with the skins.
