            In 1984, Count Giuseppe Tasca d'Almerita decided to celebrate 50 years of marriage with his wife Franca with a wine that told the story of the family and the estate. The sign of its romanticism is in the uniqueness of the varietal composition, born from Inzolia and Sauvignon Tasca, a selection from a vineyard present in Regaleali since the end of the First World War. The use of yeasts selected from the vineyards ties this wine even more inextricably to the territory it belongs to.

            Nel 1985 Lucio Tasca d’Almerita decise di confrontarsi con il vitigno bianco più celebrato al mondo. Dopo una prima sperimentazione con barbatelle arrivate anche dalla Borgogna, impiantò 5 ettari di Chardonnay nella parte inferiore della collina San Francesco, a circa 500 metri di altitudine, con terreni ricchi originati da sedimenti di origine fluviale adatti alle uve bianche di struttura.
