Brilliant ruby red colour, quite transparent, which tends to turn garnet with age. The olfactory profile expresses great elegance and finesse, with floral aromas of violets and small red fruits, ethereal notes and delicately spicy nuances. On the palate it is balanced with good body, with velvety tannins and good freshness. The finish is long and persistent. It has good aging potential and reaches its expressive maturity after at least 5/10 years.

It was born in 1982 as a selection of a part of the Martinenga vineyard towards Asili and is produced only in the best years. Its slightly more international taste due to the aging in small French wooden barrels has ensured it notable successes. It has great capacity for evolution and is rewarded when paired with game as well as important second courses and mature cheeses.
